And, what's wrong with swinging? It just sex. As long as it's between mature consenting adults who are enjoying themselves there's no harm.
Ignore this really dumb, naive advice.

So much intelligence, balance, love and wisdom in your well-thought out and articulated answers Rubadubdub. I read so much that totally resonates with me and where I currently am. I'm very inspired by your experience and advice, thank you so much for sharing and helping.
these guys are real company men when they have mass lay off of older bethelites tossing them to the curb and making the congregation they are assigned to carry some of the load, so that the watchtower corporation can cut costs of providing for these nolonger young people who have devoted theirs lives to the corporation.. they are heartless bastards aren't they?
i wonder what kind of undercurrent this is causing at headquartes?.
The Watchtower Society has for generations been exploiting and screwing over the younger generation out of tertiary study, proper careers and often having children in favour of years long volunteer bethel work and 'pioneering' and putting kingdom Watchtower interests first and now its screwing the older generation who served it so long and loyally in Bethel 'service'.
That's what global Corporations do to people. Persons are ultimately just an expendable 'human resource' to achieve their corporate strategic goals and financial objectives.
i saw this mentioned in a post.
i thought it deserved a thread of its own.
i liked how this article reasoned with the reader how a religion can cross over into cult territory very quickly.. "the harm stems from a system that shuns and ostracizes adherents that don't accept their exclusive claims to truth.
JW's = cult thread number 2,398.

She's fighting for her right to party instead of being a party to religious brainwashing and indoctrination.
because if you just read it then its plain that all should partake of the emblems and go to heaven etc.
they get around that by saying it only applied to those when written who all anointed and then a small group today.
so they take away the bible for the average witness.
No such thing as a non-anointed Christian. The concept of a 'true Christian' who has not been born again is completely foreign in scripture. Easily one of the biggest myths of JW's.
.
i know....i'm new to this set up.
apologies for being a dumbo.
Good article here showing what unscriptural baloney this rotten JW policy is:http://jwsrefined.com/2012/12/15/disfellowshipping-and-shunning/
just asking for help from the vast number of very knowledgeable people here.
when was the "stake" doctrine adopted by jw's and what publication contains that information.
thank you..
Everything you need to know at the link below, particularly the brilliant article by Leolaia (Phd graduate).

not too long ago i had a long conversation with an elder and at some point the topic went towards exceptions to the rule and how everything is not black and white.. his example he gave me....he asked if two married sisters who have unbelieving spouses were invited to a christmas party at their spouses workplace, if it would be wrong for both of them to go.
he went on that it depends on the reasons.
he said sister a husband is well mannered and responsible, is okay with her not going, and her going there would merely be participating in everything.
Very good post, I like your reasoning a lot and totally agree EndofMysteries. That elder would be a breath of fresh air on the GB.
how is it that in a world that is so technological, scientific, fact-based, evidence-based, and so on, that many people are superstitious - even more so, the superstitions of ancient cultures?.
doug.
Because they are bewitched, held in thrall to powerful social memes and traditions passed from generation to generation.
